The Birds expand the lead in the sixth thanks to a walk by Ohlman, followed by a long double off the wall by Webb. Sawyer grounded out to get first RBI, followed by Esposito with another ground out RBI. Starr stuck out to end inning. 3-0 lead for Birds.
Guzman had a long riff inning needing 28 pitches to get through inning. He started his second appearance for Delmarva with a K. He then gives up a triple on a 0-2 count Bernadina crashed into wall leaving ball rolling off wall Webb retrieved the ball to hold it to triple. Guzman is then hit with line drive to cut his pitching hand. Sawyer then allowed a wild pitch which he should have stopped to allow run in. He then gives up a walk followed by a pop out for out number two. He walks 6th batter of inning before striking out Caldwell to end inning. Guzman had a 88 mph fastball a 68-72 curve and a 78-80 change.
Guzman comes back to get a 4 batter inning giving up 1 run on 14 pitches 42 total. He popped out first batter on two pitches. Guzman gave up a HR on three pitches to that very short right field fence. He then ends the inning with two Ks one on a 88 mpj fastball and the second on a 76 mph slider. 3-2 Birds trying to hold on to the lead.
Guzman has a ruff outing only making it through 5 batters. Adams leads off with a pop out folllowed by a walk. Nola comes in with runner on and pops out making two outs. Wooster comes in as the 4th batter and hits a HR over yet agian that short right field fence giving Greensboro the lead. Next batter singles which is enough for Minor who brings in Schmarzo whos gets a pop out in two pitches. Delmarva goes down 1 2 3 in 9th to loss a close which bullpen lets down Rodriguez.
