As Taylor closes in on 100 innings pitched on the season he's also looking for his 6th win of the season and his 3rd on the road. He tries to even up both his record on the road and on the season. He's given up 96 hits in 91.2 inning while registering while averaging almost a K a inning. Let's see if he put together a quality start and keep the hits down and the K's up. Wont be to many updates till very late as I made my first visit to Nationals Park for the double header today.

On a day the offense put up some runs Taylor couldn't help by putting up a solid start just goin 4 innings and facing 24 batters. Giving up 7 hits allowing 6 runs to cross the plate only ER thanks to a throwing error by Davis making it another short outing by a Birds pitcher. Beal then came in with 3 strong innings only giving up 1 ER on 3 hits with 3 K's. Over Beal's last 7 games in relief he's only allowed 2 runs being a very solid bull pen man pitching as many as 4 innings in one game. Escat came in to close the game out in the final inning registering a K. All Birds hitters had 2 hits except for Planeta, Esposito, & Davis raking up 13 hits. Webb had another stellar day at the plate goin 2-4 with his 11th homer, a double, and a walk. Pena came in with a triple while 4 other guys came in with doubles. The Birds didn't help themselves while going 1-10 with RISP and leaving 12 guys on base.
