Zach Davies 7/29 Delmarva Start

Can Davies bounce back from his last start and continue his record at home. He's 3-1 at home while posting a ERA of 2.49, which includes a 7 inning game of shut out baseball only giving up 6 hits and registering 6 K's. His last start agianst Kannapolis a away game only went 5.1 giving up 8 hits, 4 runs, and 2 HRs.

After the 1st Davies threw 21 pitches over 4 batters including 2 fly outs, runner reaching on a error(Delmonico), and a K to end the inning. Should have been 3 up 3 down but Delmonico rushed the play on what should have been a easy out.

End of 2nd Davies gives up a run on a double after a walk and single. Started the inning off with a K, then Davies made a nice barehanded play goin towards 3rd for the second out. Issued a 5 pitch walk to DePinto followed by a first pitch single, then a RBI double by Pena. Followed by a K to end the inning using a solid change up to get final out. Pitch count is up to 48 after a 27 pitch inning. Davies needs to stay ahead of hitter keeps falling behind. Only 1 for 10 on first pitch strikes. Kannapolis only allowing 1 hit over first 2 innings. Rain starting to fall at end of 2nd. Tarp has now been pulled at at 5:35.
