That was a great catch by Revere in right. Totally changed the outlook of the inning and beginning of the game

Now Revere comes back and doubles and scores game's first run on a Mauer screamer of a single. Hope Tillman can forget that and limit the damage here

Revere has always been a favorite of mine. If he can ever piece together his hitting, he's going to be a nice little player.

Tillman has the same stuff tonight, but just cannot fall behind to a hitter like Mauer and expect to push a fastball by him on a 3-1 count.

Fastball velocity is there again and he's gotten some nice swings and misses on it. Curveball command is just a bit off. With the way he looks so far, if he can escape this inning with just one run I think he'll go on to have a solid start.

Just a terrible play by Reynolds has let this inning and possibly this game get ugly. That was a ball a major leaguer should have little problem with. How many innings will that possibly cost Tillman?

Probably a lot with the way he's commanding his pitches tonight.

Reynolds has all but become "worthless" to this team. He helps with practically nothing.

So mad that I waited all evening for this game with the idea that I was gonna stay up and watch it all and Reynolds had to go and ruin it in the 1st inning. Some of it's on Tillman, he still needed to come back and get the next guy, but that was a little league type boot on Reynolds part.

I actually wish Reynolds hadn't homered and doubled (it wouldn't have effected the outcome) so maybe Buck will finally come to the conclusion that Reynolds needs to go. He produces NOTHING. Strikeouts, infield flies, GIDP, and errors are what make up Mark Reynolds' game. Occasionally he'll hit a home run or take a walk but not nearly often enough to offset all of the negative contributions he makes. They should get rid of him BEFORE the season is over.

He has the highest on base perecentage on the team and also has the most power. Just because he is a horrible defender and strikes out a lot does not mean he is worthless.

If he only occassionally takes a walk would you mind explaining to me how he has the highest OBP on the team even though his batting average is last on the team amongst players with 40+ games played?

Solid OBP, but 91 WRC+. Nothing special on offense and his defense is terrible. Would rather have Betemit and Davis over him.

In a perfect world Betemit and Reynolds would platoon at DH.

That was....terrible. Seemed like Tillman had a nice change-up today. He got Span to reach out and hit a weak flyball to Jones for the first out. He also threw two straight changes to Doumit that both produced swings and misses. Everything was up today for Chris. Did anybody watch JJ pitch? One out, 5 runs? Is something wrong? Maybe he is injured.
