Baseball entrance songs

Baseball entrance songs

PostPost #1 by Don » April 25th, 2011, 7:02 pm

I thought I would go off topic and try to discuss a light hearted topic. The whole coming out of the bullpen was starting to take shape when I was in the minors and Ricky Vaughn wild thing was the Mitch Williams loving theme song. I am a from Dixie and as much as I would have love some Skynard, I trolled out to ZZ Top La Grange.

If I were in the game today, I most likely would be going out to Johnny Cash Gonna cut you down. Just love the instrumental and Cash voice over the sound system is tough as nails.

What would you choose?

I'll give this questions some thought before I respond. But I was alerted over Twitter that Gonna Cut You Down was actually Matusz's song of choice last season.

I would come out to Pepper by Ashes (at the 0:37 mark). Not sure why.

The Baltimore Sun had an article at the beginning of April titled Orioles 2011 Entrance Songs. Interesting stuff there.

I see this is a couple months old as a topic, but its a great one. Beginning of every season or when new players arrive one of my daughters and my favorite things is new walk up songs.

Don, I'm not from the South, but your choice for Cash is a great one. Even in MILB parks that song sounds great when played.

Never thought about one for myself but I will now.

I have always thought about this:

I am assuming I listen to the wildest music on this forum.

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, "Red Right Hand"

I'll just creep them out.

Tucker, I'm going to agree, you might have the wildest music selections.

I spent way too much time thinking about this yesterday reviewing every electronic gadget I own looking at music lists to decide.

I came up with 2 choices.

1. Rockstar - Nickelback
2. Glory Days - Bruce Springsteen

I was also just told that Zach Fowler uses Gonna cut you down as his entrance song.
