Observations from Zach Britton's start (July 12, 2012)

Well, you were certainly right. He isn't commanding his fastball as well now and he's leaving it over the plate.

Yea it's becoming clockwork sadly this year. He's flashing some solid breaking pitches this inning again though.
And he gets out of the inning with a great low fastball for the K.

Yup, still commanding the sinker pretty well. Just blew one by someone at 94 mph according to the broadcast.

I would leave Britton in the minors for the balance of the season and work with Peterson/Griffin. It's been a lost year for him anyways and right now I would like to go with the rotation we've set up. I'm intrigued by Gonzalez, who should and deserves to start because he knows how to pitch. I don't think Britton has figured it out yet.

They shouldn't bring Britton up unless they think he is completly ready. What do you mean "I like the rotation we've set up." We only have 4 pitchers in our rotation at the moment.
If Britton is ready- by all means bring him up
If Britton is needs to work a couple more little kinks- Eveland can spot start a game or two
If Britton is no where close- I'd personally bring up Steve Johnson
