Promote Ty Kelly?

A bit old for the league. Time to see if he can hit Double-A pitching.

Not saying he couldn't be a nice little piece, but there is a reason he is at Frederick and was moved around.

LOL I know but its sorta my proof statement that says the Orioles need to think a little differently, perhaps putting the petty politics, personality clashes, whatever it is, aside to do what is in the best interests of the club. Kelly held his own at AAA earlier, his stats indicate he needs to be moved up. There doesn't seem to be a reason to keep him out of AAA and his age is catching up to him.

Ty is not viewed as a prospect but rather an organizational guy. Part of this issue is the log jam in front of him (Machado and Schoop at AA). I think it is just as important that he gets AB's daily and unless the team is ready to move Blake Davis or Carlos Rojas I don't see that happening.

That said I too am in favor of promoting Ty, he simply produces everywhere they put him.

Appears he's holding his own so far in Bowie. It also appears the O's have re evaluated their opinion of hm
in that he's batting in the 3 hole. I think his plate discipline will be a good influence on the only 2 guys younger than him on the roster - Manny & Schoop.

While it's not 100% correct to say he completely just org filler, they are definitely playing the "prove to us you have value" card. Ty has done everything he possibly needs to prove it so far numbers wise. I will be seeing him PLENTY of times from now until the end of the season, and am excited for that. Bowie is my second home besides Camden Yards
