yup...I think Don might have converted me into the ultimate Avery fan now, so I'm not happy with what just happened.

Well. That is depressing.

I feel terrible for Hammel, he pitched good tonight, but the mental errors are really tough to get past.

Defense hurt him a lot.

Pearce and Andino particularly. Jones probably coast another out too.
Just simple things like that alter a pitch count 15-25 pitches. That might have saved him enough gas to get out of that last inning.

I get injuries creating a situation where we don't have our primary players out there, but I simply don't agree and cannot understand how a major league team can have so many players out of position all the time.

P.S. By Seattle standards this is a slugfest.

I really don't know. But one could make an argument that the only people in position are Wieters, Jones, Hardy. That's not good.

Avery is so needed up here it's killing me to even think about it.

What a horrible game tonight. I fell asleep after work but recorded it and just got done watching.

Hammel was good until the 7th. Very dumb decision by Buck to keep him in with O'Day warmed in the bullpen.

The defense was absolutely horrible as usual. Andino dropping what would have been an out on a steal and Pearce dropping what was ruled a double. Neither plays were ruled errors but Buck even said after the game that Pearce's play should have been.

Chris Davis just missed a multi HR game which was probably the only good thing tonight.
