Orioles @ Red Sox 9/21/10

PostPost #1 by 2131andBeyond » September 21st, 2010, 4:25 pm

Gametime: 7:10 PM EST

Orioles lineup:

2B Roberts
RF Markakis
1B Wigginton
DH Scott
C Wieters
CF Jones
LF Pie
3B Andino
SS Izturis

P Bergesen

Red Sox lineup:

2B Scutaro
RF Drew
C Martinez
DH Ortiz
3B Beltre
SS Lowrie
CF Kalish
LF Nava
1B Anderson

P Buchholz

Notes:

-Julio Lugo is completely cleared to play, and could be used tonight if needed

-Kevin Millwood will pitch tomorrow night to close out the series in Boston. The Orioles then travel to Toronto, where the picture is very unclear. Guthrie is on schedule to pitch Friday, and VandenHurk will look to get a start either Saturday or Sunday, with Tillman most likely on the other day. More to come on this soon.

-With his 2 doubles off the Green Monster last night, Nick Markakis became just the 2rd player in MLB history with 43 doubles in 4 straight seasons (Medwich & Speaker, both in HOF)

-Over 29 1/3 IP and only 8 ER, Brian Matusz has the best ERA vs. the Red Sox this season out of any pitcher in all of baseball (with 25+ IP)

Finally get to see Lars Anderson. Been waiting to see him ever since the Sox brought him up. If he hits the Rule 5 draft, I'd love to see us pick him up.
Baltimore! BUCK YEAH! Coming into save the MOTHER BUCKING day yeah!
