does it surprise you to see schoop still in a top 100 list?

It does not surprise me, there are still some scouts that I talk to that completely wiped off 2013 because of the injuries and how quickly he was rushed. I think if you listed him before, you could easily make an argument that he is the same player but a year older now. This is a big year for Schoop, really needs to prove his value now. Schoop is a weird player. Huge tools, big frame, with a lot of goofiness. But the ability is certainly evident and flashed at times. Super inconsistent still and missing a lot of time were both hindering factors for 2013.

No. But please temper your personal expectations. Above average production from a 2B is a guy that bats about .250


If and when Schoop is a finished product and he has a sweet OBP and a good defender then I would urge you to be ecstatic! However as Tucker said above, this is a big year for him. He's got a great deal to prove before seeing time in Baltimore.

oh, sure. it just seems like there are so many other flavors of the moment w/ higher ceilings.

i'd be cool w/ schoop being a legit starter.
