Maybe Arrieta has figured it out. Another very good outing and they pulled him early so he can come up and pitch out of the bullpen sooner.

I'm excited to see what he has in the pen.

He should be good. Matusz has looked very good out of the bullpen so he should be able to help Arrieta prepare both mentally and physically.

Alexander Mercedes was 4-6 in his debut with Aberdeen. He is a middle infielder but they had him playing CF tonight. I've obviously never seen him as he is fresh out of the DSL/GCL. Not a bad start though.

Josh Hader 2.0 innings with 5 K's. Continues to dominate. Really looking forward to seeing him a full season next year (hopefully starting)

Brandon Waring got hot in the one August-September that wouldn't get him a call to the majors. He hit a HR yesterday and finished up with an OPS of 1.048 in August and 1.080 in 3 September games. He likely isn't going to ever be an everyday player in the majors but if he had this kind of August/September to finish a season anytime in the last 10 years he likely would have finished the season in Baltimore and got some chances to show what he's got at the major league level.
