Parker Bridwell 7/27 Start

Parker Bridwell 7/27 Start

PostPost #1 by adonijah1510 » July 27th, 2012, 5:34 pm

Will Parker string together his 3 solid start in a row? He's coming off a complete game (7 inning game) which he allowed just one run off of 6 hits. Ill be updating after each inning of tonights game.

Let's hope he can begin to find some consistency.

Now I see on Twitter that you're at the game. Enjoy and I look forward to the updates!

Just hope the rain stays away and doesn't stop the game like it did to Dylan last night in Wilmington.

Parker takes a line drive off the foot but continues to pitch with bases loaded.

28 pitch innings only giving up 2 runs with bases loaded no outs tops out at 94. Gave up two hits two walks and worked a double play to help out out of a jam.

Top of the order coming up in the 3rd of a 2 - 2 game see if Parker can settle down and regain control.

10 pitch third inning topping out at 93 gave up two singles. Bridwell makes a very athletic play to catch bunt pop out and hits second basemen to double up Heisler at second to end inning.

Webb throws out DePinto at home to keep the game tied. Bridwell has a 15 pitch inning with a K, HBP, and line drive down right field line. Still topping out at 93 in inning pitch count up to 61.

Seems like Webb registers an outfield assist every game.

I asked someone about Webb last night and they told me he isn't a prospect. I respectably had to disagree. I don't know what that guy was watching but he clearly hadn't paid much attention to Webb (or saw him on a bad night)

Anyways, Bridwell is battling tonight from what it sounds like, and that is always a great learning time. Glad to see he is working through the troubles tonight and keeping the team in the game. I will remain my ground saying that people jumped off his bandwagon way too soon.
