Wow, if he has to go on the DL all 3 Orioles starting OF will be on the DL to go with Roberts, Britton, Tegarden, and Lindstrom. I know other teams are hurting and have good players on the DL but this is ridiculous.
That would leave the Orioles lineup without their lead off hitter (both of them), their #3 hitter, and their clean up hitter. if Jones has to go on the DL the OF may be very ugly for a few weeks.
On the other hand, if he goes on the DL and the team can somehow stay in the hunt and turn this losing stretch around they would be getting a huge boost when Reimold, Jones, Roberts, and Markakis all return to the lineup. Wieters may be heating up again, Reynolds has looked good since his return from the DL, Hardy has been good and Davis has been better than expected so maybe if one or two others can get hot they can overcome this.
Who would get called up? Tejada to play 3rd and have Tolleson/Betemit in the OF? Bill Hall again or will he leave the organization if he clears waivers? Lew Ford? LJ Hoes or Xavier Avery? Either way, the OF may be looking pretty ugly if Jones has to miss time. Let's hope he is ok.
