Hammel looks incredible, Arrieta and Chen both look good, Hunter and Matusz are the two weak links in the rotation. Hunter got sent down today and Berken might start on Friday (or maybe Tillman gets called up). Either way, the O's have two spots in the rotation that need to be filled and Zach Britton can only fill one of them.
Any chance Oswalt would be interested in the O's? Any chance the O's would be interested in him? Or, would you just call people up from AAA and hope one of them can stick or hope that Matusz or Hunter figure it out while others are getting auditions?
I think they should go after Oswalt as he is a very good pitcher, a veteran, and would only cost $$. We wouldn't have to give up any minor leaguers and we could potentially dramatically improve our rotation.
