Speaking for myself it would be a short trip.

At 6/150-160 I could understand the signing because it would generate around its annual value in ticket sales for at least the first two years, but I don't see Fielder signing here for that money unless we're the last team standing.

The Nationals might be his best choice because their team is young and improving. Of course, we could help that along by making a trade that would put them in the playoffs this year and make us a winner by 2014. I wonder if Angelos and Duquette both like THAT?

I have the perception that teams (or Fielder himself) are playing the waiting game. His value has not dropped in any aspect in my opinion. He has no rush to sign with anyone, and the longer he waits, the more impatient a team might get. It will become clear in time who really is focused on Fielder, and then Boras can strike and try to sucker them into the huge contract he wants

I would be for the "Highest Offer" if it was a two year (plus Mutual Option) in length. 27.5 to 28 million per year. (Its not my Money)

Fan base gets its treat.
Allows Prince to get a better deal in 2014/2015 when still young.
Allows Prince to prove he can play in the AL East.
Allows the Orioles to build/improve the minors depth for two years.
May get the free agent pitchers (Oswalt,Jackson ..) a reason to want to sign a short term deal here.

agree. The only way prince gets to Baltimore is If every other team decided they want to go in another direction and prince has to settle for Baltimore. That's how I see it at least.
