I would be displeased with all three things rumored by Rosenthal.

-Trading for Street would be the COMPLETE wrong move for the Orioles. The pen is the least of their worries at this point in time, and a RP is not going to help this team compete. At most he gives them 1-2 more victories.
- This would be even worse if they gave up Guthrie to get him.
-JJ to the rotation may very well happen, but I am against it. I still think his biggest value to the club is in the pen.

Hate it.
Johnson needs to stay in the pen and be the closer.
Trading Guthrie for Street would just deplete our rotation even more. Our pen is the least of our problems at this point.
Who needs another overpriced RP? Street would be better than Gregg but to what amount?....3 more saves?
Bullpen: Johnson, Simon, Strop, Gregg, O'Day, Patton, Phillips, and supposely Chong Tae-Hyon

Its almost like they're trying to intentionally infuriate the small fanbase they have left. Hopefully this is just a ridiculous rumor

Guthrie SP, Johnson RP > Johnson SP, Street RP

Street's era has been trending up while Johnson's has been going in the opposite direction and he has had a lower era the past two seasons. Street is also an injury risk (as my fantasy team demonstrated this year) and would not be a big upgrade if he is one at all. The mentality behind a starter and a reliever (much less a closer) is very different and requires different skills. Johnson does not have the stuff and has not been groomed to be starter like most of the reliever to starters referred to above.
