Who starts in left field next year?

First it was Luke Scott, then it was Felix Pie, then it was Nolan Reimold, then it was Matt Angle, then it was Kyle Hudson.

Pie is gone. Hudson's not getting it. Scott is probably gone.

It's come down to Reimold and Angle unless they sign a FA. I would say a platoon but Reimold actually hits lefties poorly.

This is a tough decision because they both offer very difference skill sets. I think I would start off with Reimold in LF and give Angle the backup OF job, but it's close.

I agree give it to Reimold and let Angle be your 4th OF who can play fairly regularly against rightys while giving Jones and Reimold days off. But then again both Jones and Reimold hit RHP better... Reimold doesn't embarrass himself in LF (according to UZR) so his bat should make him a worthy starter.

As big an Angle fan as I am, I have to agree that Reimold deserves first shot at this spot.

Depending on who is signed this winter, I think the Orioles would be wise seeing if Mark Reynolds could lock down the position as well. This town feels that he is a terrible defender, but his strong suits are reaction first step and glove. It is why he looks slightly better than average a first base and would make an average defensive LF.

Nolan would be an ideal RF and it would be wise to honestly move Markakis this winter for future foundation.

Better idea could be to platoon Reynolds and Reimold and simply give Reynolds 1B/DH.

I think this was something mentioned by Jon Shepard using statistics to back up my eyes on the field.

I sense sarcasm as well but Reyes gets injured waaaaaaaaaay to often for me to consider signing him.

It remains to be seen what will happen with Scott. I could see him easily being non-tendered, but there is still a chance they try and keep him and possibly deal him at the deadline.

If we would have traded Scott last winter (as we should have) there would be a different legacy to that trade.

Hopefully Patton can prove to be a valuable asset out of the pen next season.
