Considering that Young was signed to a minor league contract there is virtually no risk involved, and upside potential. IMO Mr. Young is at the crossroads of his career. An OPS of .850 this season with NO character incidents and he could earn a two year contract from someone next winter. Another meltdown and he better learn to speak Japanese or Korean.

Colvin confuses me. The reports are that he has agreed to a ML contract, but the team has not announced it yet. DD and the scouting staff must see something there. If he doesn't make the 25 Man Roster and has an option we can send him to AAA as modestly expensive insurance. If he has to be DFA'd any team that claims him becomes responsible for his contract. If he clears waivers he goes to AAA.
