The Best trade in O's history?

There are plenty of them. I have two favorites.

Erik Bedard for Adam Jones

Ken Holtzman, Doyle Alexander, Grant Jackson, Ellie Hendricks, Paul Blair and Jimmy Freeman For Rick Dempsey, Rudy May, Tippy Martinez, Dave Pagan and Scott McGregor

With all due respect, anyone who was an Orioles' fan in the late 60s will tell you that this discussion begins with the name "Frank" and ends with the name "Robinson".

Yeah but Frank was one that put together. Kinda like Adam Jones. I was just a kid when Frank was playing. Now i am an Adult if the O's should ever go to the World Series under Adam Jones im gonna to enjoy watching this one watching Adam Jones getting that world series MVP

Funny thing is the Orioles could have had Guidry but opted for Pagan (a right handed pitcher) because the other 3 pitchers were left handed like Guidry.

I wish I had the same optimism about Adam Jones as you. He looked completely overmatched in the playoffs.

and so did Cano, Arod, Texeira, Granderson, Fielder, etc., etc., etc.

Please don't judge a career on 6 games.....

Not judging his career, just not optimistic he will ever be a World Series MVP. He seems to try way too hard in big spots.

Give the guy a break. When Adam was a rookie he made lots of mistakes. Now look how great he is now. This was his first taste in the post season. Just wait til the next one.

He's good but I wouldn't call him great.

He is a 5 tool player but isn't an ELITE hitter. He could be if he really tapped into his full potential. He could easily steal 30 bases and with a little pateince against the low and away breaking ball, could hit in the .315 range. But, he's been in the majors for 5 years now, I don't know how much better he is going to get.
