Two years @ 25M or so. any longer and I'll pass. Too many gaps in his performance to make a long term investment.

He's coming off a career year. He's going to get a contract worth more than I'd be willing to give him.

We just turned down Reynolds option of $11 Million and you want to pay $39 Million over the next three years to a player (La Roche) that is coming off a career year. IMO I would offer Reynolds a 3/$22 Million plus incentives (All-Star, Gold Glove, Top Five MVP Voting, Silver Slugger, HR title) which would enable him to garner an additional $500,000 per year plus his buyout of $500,000 which would bring the package to 3/$24 and we would get a better offensive player than La Roche.
