Better than the career OPS of Andino which is .620.

Yup, and a better glove as well as a better baserunner. He's an upgrade over Andino.

I didn't say Andino was the answer either....

But replacing one lousy guy with another lousy guy doesn't make much sense to me. That's what MacPhail used to do.

I could see the Warehouse considering using Andino and Casilla as a platoon with player not starting that day being the reserve; however, Andino's splits last year were about even, BAD. His 2011 splits against LHs were much better and a platoon of Andino's 2011 against LHs and Casilla's 2010 against RHs would be well above league average.

Minor upgrades are what helped this team to compete last season. Improving every spot on the team should be the goal whether it be the the UTIL player or the #3 hitter in the lineup. Every position matters.

As long as Brian Roberts is still on the payroll, they wont be able to go out and get a true starting 2b...PA wont allow that waste of money...At least they got someone that can play D and appears much better fundamentaly than Andino...

Andino can walk...we saw what happens when he got over exposed.
