I should clarify that when I say the O's shouldn't give up on Arrieta or Matusz, I mean precisely that. I don't mean that they shouldn't be available in the right trade, or that they deserve automatic spots in next year's rotation. I just mean that they should only be traded for assets that are as valuable as young starting pitchers who have experienced big league success, or that they should still be given every opportunity to be part of the team's long-term plans (and fans should be patient while they try to repeat their previous successes).
