He leads the league in innings caught and today is the second or third time that he is catching a day game following a night game. It's obvious that Buck doesn't like Paulino at all and doesn't trust him behind the plate. Hopefully when Teagarden finishes his rehab Buck likes him and will start to rest Wieters.
I understand that Wieters is one of the better hitters on the team but this is just another example of why it was stupid to trade for Thome. When Teagarden gets here I would have lined up Wieters to DH at least once a week and get a day off at least once a week. He's 6'5 230lbs and he isn't going to last forever at this rate.
