I sure hope that young man doesn't have to go through anything like what Brian Roberts has.

He sure looks like someone who has no shot to make it as a starter and should be a reliever.

I really like his new simplistic wind up as well. I'm assuming that's a Peterson change. Looks like it's helped his location and velocity. Hopefully he can keep this up! It would be huge for this rotation to have him finally reach his potential.

Bad walk for Tillman, 3-1, trying to be too cute, when you throw 95+, you have to challenge not try to hit a corner.

What he has done through the Fourth shows he can be an effective reliever. What he does in the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh will determine if he can be an effective ML SP. If he can make quality starts in at least seven of his next ten starts I will be the first to admit I underestimated him.

He's able to keep velocity even low in the zone. He's hitting corners well enough and changing the eye level. The Mariners are having trouble catching up to the fastball. Bad changeup but because of his FB velocity he gets an easy fly to end the inning.

Tillman looks solid. New delivery. He's hitting both sides of the plate. And hitting 97 mph.

Frankly, what catches my eye the most is that fact that he's at 63 pitches through the Fifth. Of course, it IS the Mariners but give the kid his due.

Quick inning for the offense so this will be a little bit of a test. Get a nice 1-2-3 CT.

Very true, and it's in Seattle.

And he did it. Getting the final two outs on 83mph changes. Very nice indeed.

Another walk and he appeared to be struggling a little but 2 outs now after a tough battle. Get 1 more CT.

Change for a strike, sinking 96 FB for swinging strike, broken bat grounder on 96 high fastball. He's broken a few bats and the Mariners have been late on FB all day. He's right around 100 so that should be it for him though I'd bring him out again.

I wonder if Buck will allow him to start the Eighth?
