The Orioles drafted Matt Price in the 7th round of the 2012 MLB draft and gave him a slot bonus of $149,300.
Most teams didn’t know Oliver Drake was draft eligible coming out of Navy, but the Orioles did. Baltimore awarded drake a $100,000 bonus as a 43rd round pick.
The Orioles signed Hector Veloz out of the Dominican Republic. Even before he signed, Veloz had already tested positive for the anabolic steroid Stanozolol.
