After a dreadful month of May, Connor Narron has quietly come on as of late. Narron, an infielder who has mostly played 1B this season, hit .329/.418/.553 in June with 5 doubles, a triple, 4 home runs, and 10 walks.
Starting Pitcher of the Month – Dylan Bundy
Although he may be 3 years younger than the average Carolina League pitcher, Dylan Bundy has pitched like one of the best pitchers in the CAR since he joined the Keys. In five June starts, Bundy struck out 24, walked just 8, and held opposing hitters to a .217 average. His ERA for the month was 3.04 and he allowed only 18 hits.
Relief Pitcher of the Month – Zach Fowler
Left-hander Zach Fowler was lights out for the Shorebirds in June. He threw 13.2 scoreless innings, allowed 5 hits, struck out 13 and walked 6. He held hitters to a .114 average.
