Scouting Report: 12th Round Pick William Waltrip, LHP, Seminole St Col

Don’s Thoughts: Billy Waltrip is another Ernie Jacobs pick. He has a fastball that sits in the 87-89 mph and touches 90 mph.  He has a projectable curve and change up.

He’s nearly filled out, but may have room for a bit more size and strength that will give him an extra tick or two in his back pocket.  It will be interesting to see whether they move him into the bullpen where his style would be better suited, or keep him stretched out as a starter.
