Scouting Report: 11th Round Pick Kevin Grendell, LHP, San Pasqual HS

Don’s Thoughts: Kevin Grendell is another highly projectable high school left hander. He has a tall and slender frame with little muscular development and should be able to add weight and strength down the road.

His long and loose arm with good arm speed allows him to live with a fastball that sits 88-90 mph, and will touch 91 mph.  His 2S has good late movement, and he has serious spin and bite on his curve.  He has a good feel for how to pitch.

Scouting Report:

  • reportedly hard throwing lefty
  • signed at UC Irvine
