Scouting Report: 14th Round Pick Sean McAdams, RHP, Cardinal Mooney School (FL)

Don’s Thoughts: As with most Florida high school pitchers, McAdams’ best offering right now is an 11/7 curve ball with serious bite and “out pitch” potential.

He is a big tall kid who is filled out and shows solid mechanics for a big pitcher.  He is rather methodical in his approach and it may be the reason why his  fastball sits in the upper 80s.  Improved strength and maturation should allow him to find another gear.  When he finds it, he could have the foundation to really be a back of the rotation workhorse pitcher.

Scouting Report:

  • curveball is out pitch
  • deceptive, smooth delivery
