The Orioles tied 7-7 against the Tampa Bay Rays today.

Their current spring training record stands at 4-4-2.

Notes

  • Nolan Reimold got a hit in his first game back since being struck in the head by a pitch.
  • Ryan Flaherty had a big 2 run HR to tie the game in the bottom of the 9th.
  • Scotty Beerer went 2-2.
  • Ronny Paulino recorded his first hit in an Orioles uniform, going 1-4 with an RBI.
  • Jai Miller had a huge day, going 3-5 with a triple, double, and a 3 run HR.
  • Jason Hammel pitched 3 innings with 1 H, 1 R, 2 K, 1 BB allowed.
  • Brad Bergesen pitched 3 innings with 3 H, 0 R, 1 K, 2 BB allowed.
  • Miguel Socolovich pitched an inning with 2 H, 1 R, 0 K, 0 BB allowed.
  • Troy Patton pitched an inning with 1 H, 0 R, 0 K, 1 BB allowed.
  • Oscar Villarreal struggled in a 1/3 of an inning, with 1 H, 4 R (2 ER), 0 K, 2 BB allowed.
  • Stu Pomeranz pitched 2/3 of an inning with 2 H, 1 R, 1 K, 0 BB allowed.
  • Steve Johnson pitched an inning with 0 H, 0 R, 1 K, 0 BB allowed.

 

  • The Orioles next round of cuts will either be Wednesday or Thursday, according to MLB.com Brittany Ghiroli.
  • Catcher Michael Ohlman will try and rehab his shoulder instead of getting surgery, according to MASN’s Roch Kubatko.
  • Catcher Taylor Teagarden will see a back specialist after having an MRI on his back, according to Kubatko. There is no word on surgery yet.
  • There were at least 40 scouts at today’s’ game, according to The Baltimore Sun’s Eduardo A. Encina.
  • The Orioles are still interested in Cardinals pitcher Kyle Mclellan, according to FoxSports.com’s Jon Morosi.
