The Orioles lost  4-1 against the Toronto Blue Jays today.

Their current spring training record stands at 4-4.

Notes

  • The Orioles collected only 3 hits today (Endy Chavez, Ryan Flaherty, and Joe Mahoney)
  • Wei-Yin Chen pitched 2 innings with 2 H, 1 R, 2 K, 1 BB allowed. He was credited with the loss.
  • Armando Galarraga struggled mightily today, pitching 2 innings with 2 H, 3 R, 2 K, 3 BB allowed.
  • Jon Link pitched an inning with 0 H, 0 R, 2 K, 0 BB allowed.
  • Pat Neshek pitched an inning with 0 H, 0 R, 1 K, 0 BB allowed.
  • Stu Pomeranz pitched an inning with 0 H, 0 R, 0 K, 0 BB allowed.
  • Buck Showalter said that a few pitchers could pitch in the team’s class A minor league game on the teams’ off day a week from today, according to The Baltimore Sun’s Eduardo A. Encina.
  • Nolan Reimold‘s plan is to return tomorrow, according to Encina. He is still recovering from getting hit by a pitch in the head.
  • Matt Lindstrom threw 30 pitches in the bullpen from the windup and stretch. He says his back feels fine, according to MASN’s Roch Kubatko. He is set to pitch on Wednesday.
  • Zach Britton will pitch two innings Thursday in a minor league game, according to Kubatko.
  • Tommy Hunter will pitch four innings Friday either against the Twins or in a minor league game, according to Kubatko.
