- Jim Johnson threw off a mound today. He will throw off one on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, according to MASN’s Roch Kubatko.
- Jason Berken says his left hamstring feels a lot better and he might play catch tomorrow, according to Kubatko.
- Zach Britton will throw off a half mound Thursday and a full mound Friday, according to Kubatko.
- Alfredo Simon and Brian Matusz will start the split game double-header on March 5th, according to Kubatko.
- The Orioles signed Severna Park native Josh Banks to a minor league deal, according to Kubatko. The pitcher was also drawing interest from the Yankees and Dodgers.
- Dan Duquette said the team was interested in Banks due to his local ties and a solid season in winter ball, according to The Baltimore Sun’s Eduardo A. Encina.
