Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson was hospitalized earlier today, which always brings a wave of concern – and maybe panic – over all of us, but he released a statement saying he’s doing fine and it’s not related to his cancer surgery.

Baltimore Orioles 2011 Preview | IHJJR
With the arrival of spring Baltimore sports fans welcome another season of Orioles baseball. The franchise has had 13 straight losing seasons but you wouldn’t know it from talking to your average O’s fan. They have an undying (some would say unhealthy) optimism that only grows as Opening Day approaches.

Prediction Friday: Quick-fire Orioles’ predictions | Connolly’s Corner
Sun O’s writer Jeff Zrebiec, Sun columnist Peter Schmuck and Dan Connolly had dinner together in Tampa and wrote down their predictions for various Orioles and national baseball categories.

Having just one bullpen lefty should not be a problem | MASN
Steve Melewski is not concerned in the least that the Orioles will begin the season with just one left-hander in the bullpen.

Hendrickson still likes Orioles’ opportunity | Orioles Insider
If you are still looking for a reason why the Orioles hoped veteran left-hander Mark Hendrickson accepted his outright assignment to Triple-A Norfolk, consider this: After reporting to the minor league facility at Twin Lakes Park today, Hendrickson made it a point to have lunch with top pitching prospect Zach Britton to discuss different things and dispense a little veteran advice.

Fearless Predictions – Baltimore Orioles 2011 | Dempey’s Army
A few of the better ones:

  • Matt Albers will outperform most of the Oriole pen while pitching for Boston.
  • Nolan Reimold will finish the season with a higher OPS than Vladimir Guerrero.
  • Zach Britton wins the AL Rookie of the Year.
