Great Day Jordan
Mike Flacco was promoted to Delmarva today to take the place of Tyler Townsend.
Well August is approaching and the team will try yet again to showcase Michael Aubrey at first, after the trade deadline. Seeing his power come back these last two weeks, he has no reason to be in Norfolk right now. The Orioles should try to sell off Wiggington, Tejada, or some other piece to allow Aubrey the chance to play everyday at first.
Message from Jordan via Twitter:
I have power, but no internet, which means no website updates. Sorry guys!
I was talking with friends within the organization and it looks like the Phillies are warming to the idea of trading for Miguel Tejada. It seems McPhail is looking at Jonathan Singleton and Mike Schwimer combo and the Phillies were not exactly balking at it.
I was told that they are still fighting for Roy Oswalt and Singleton would be in any discussion with them first. It seems as though Tejada deal will go to the wire.
Interesting…man, if we could snag Singleton for Tejeda…
BTW…BA listed Machado and Britton as the best prospect for thier position in all of baseball. Machado and Harper were the only two that fit into this class and Zac was the number three pitcher.
While I would sell high on Machado ranking, it was nice to see larger profile minor league ranks place Zac Britton as one of the best. It is about time seeing that he has plowed every level of competition.
You’d have to be certifiably crazy to trade an 18-year old showing good power, great plate discipline and negligible platoon splits in a full season league just 14 months after drafting him out of high school for Miguel Tejada, right? What am I missing on this one? Have the Phillies forgotten that its 2010?
