Great night for Mummey. 4-5, double, first home run, 3 runs, 2 RBI. Nice breakout from that 0-11 mini slump. Any initial impressions on this youngster?

I haven’t seen him play yet, but reports I’ve gotten have been only good. I’m hearing he has an excellent, line drive swing, and has made some spectacular plays on defense.

Dennis Sarfate had been 10 for 10 in saves this year, but tonight was his second blown save in a row. He lost Zach Britton‘s debut on Thursday, yet won tonight’s game.

Great news on Steve Johnson. While his walks were a bit high (5, including 3 in a row in his last inning of work), he did not allow a home run for the first time in 9 starts. He, also, had a GO/AO of at least 1.0 for the first time in 6 starts.

Felix Pie was hit in the wrist in the 5th inning, but stayed in the game.

Tough night for Keys’ batters, who had 16 strikeouts tonight. Amazingly, Kinston stuck out 16 Keys players on May 21st.

Josh Dowdy was great again for Delmarva. 3 up, 3 down for his 12th save. Bret Lasky has an interview with Shorebirds Manager Ryan Minor to discus the second half of the season and the starting rotation.

Omar Casamayor (2nd Base) had his fourth consecutive multi-hit game for the IronBirds. He went 3 for 3 with a triple and 3 RBI tonight. Over his last 5 games, he is batting .550 and has raised his batting average from .263 to .410.

Tim Adleman pitches for the IronBirds against Lowell on Sunday. Oliver Drake goes for the Keys against Kinston. Jarret Martin throws for Bluefield, as they try to break their 4 game losing streak.
