Position Player of the Month – Josh Bell

While his performance doesn’t jump out to you, it’s his improvement that earned him this spot. In June, Bell posted his best month of the season, mashing 4 home runs, 9 doubles and 19 RBI. He was promoted to the big league club but he’s supposed to be back with Norfolk Monday.

Starting Pitcher of the Month – Zach Britton

Britton’s season, as a whole, has been impressive, but it was his month of June that earned him a promotion to Norfolk. He posted a 2.57 FIP, struck out 23.8% of opposing hitters and held them to a .196 AVG, didn’t allow a home run and posted a 57.1 GB %.

Relief Pitcher of the Month – Brandon Cooney

Cooney did not allow an earned run in 11.1 June innings, striking out 10. He held opposing hitters to a .056 AVG with a 1.56 GO/FO ratio.
