Highly regarded pitching prospect, Jake Arrieta, is set to make his major league debut against the New York Yankees. Here’s what you need to know about Arrieta before you watch him dominate the Yankees:
- Struggles to locate his fastball, moving it around the zone will be the key to his success.
- Fastball sits 91-94, touching 96 occasionally, with a lot of movement.
- Slider is a plus pitch and his main secondary offering.
- Changeup is his 3rd pitch and he’ll throw in a curveball every now and then.
I’ll be charting his start and will post a game scouting report shortly after the Orioles win.
