A senior draftee out of Mount Olive, a Division Two college in North Carolina, Nowak is a switch-hitting corner outfielder that pieced together a 35-game-hitting streak in 2010. Nowak showcases good power, speed, arm and has a solid-average understanding of the strike-zone. He went 26-for-29 in stolen base attempts, and also pitched for Mount Olive, earning two saves out of the bullpen, striking out 12 in 6.1 IP.

Overall Thoughts:
The Orioles walked away with two fairly polished outfielders on Day 2, in Nowak and Trent Mummey. Nowak is expected to sign quickly and should make his pro debut with the Aberdeen IronBirds.
