A sophomore drafted out of Fresno City College, a community college in California, King is a left-handed hitting corner outfielder whose main strength is the ability to get on-base. King put up an outstanding 48:22 BB/K ratio as well as hit .370 in 2010. King is a well-rounded player with a little bit of power, excellent plate discipline, and average speed. Also a pitcher for Fresno City, King has a strong arm that plays well in right field.
