Pitcher of the Week: Jesse Beal

Why He’s Here: 13.2 IP (2 GS),  1 W, 12 H, 4 ER, 3 BB, 8 K, 2.84 ERA

Scoop: Along with Ryan Berry, Beal has been the most consistent pitcher on the Delmarva pitching staff. He’s picked up right where he left off last season, surrendering few walks and keeping the ball on the ground and inside the park.

Hitter of the Week: Matt Angle

Why He’s Here: .381/.435/.381 (8 for 21), 2 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K

Scoop: In his first week back from injury, Angle is the hitter of the week. He’s not displaying any power whatsoever, but he’s getting on base and most likely playing excellent defense.

    Possible Angle plays in the bigs this season?

      Slight chance. He is what he is at this point, could be here as a Sept. callup.
