I know its old news now but I saw the game Sat. night in Bowie. The 2 things I took from it were it seemed like S. Johnson was throwing way too many pitches per batter, and the defense was awful. I think they were charged with 3 errors and if theyd of counted mental errors, it would of been 5 or 6. Also a right handed hitter named Guzman, I think he was the DH, crushed one over the right centerfiend wall for his 8th homer
I’m always interested in hearing other peoples’ opinions, especially if they attended a game. Johnson does tend to run his pitch count up. How did his breaking stuff look?
The Bowie defense does have problems. You have Henson in LF, who is a natural 3B. Adams isn’t that great on defense. Guzman isn’t great, Waring is playing 3B and he should be DHing or at 1B.
Guzman has some pop, but he’s old for the eastern league.
