First baseman Tyler Townsend is back from extended spring training after finally recovering from a hamstring injury.
This past week, Tyler Kolodny was the Sally League player of the week. He’s playing extremely well and, like Townsend, he plays first base. Townsend and Kolodny will likely split time at first base and DH.
Townsend struggled in his short stint with the Shorebirds last season, batting just .143 in 119 at-bats.
