• Ryan Adams went 0 for 3.

Analysis: Spoone now has 10 walks and 4 strikeouts on the season. Ouch.

• Brandon Cooney pitched 2 innings, allowing 2 hits and no runs. He walked 2 batters and struck out 2.

Analysis: I’d really like to see Cooney make an appearance where he doesn’t walk a batter. He has the potential to become a closer but really needs to keep the walks down.

• Michael Planeta went 1 for 3.

• Matt Hobgood pitched 7 scoreless innings, allowing just 2 hit. He walked just 1 batter and struck out 6.

Analysis: What an outing by Matt Hobgood, he now has a 2.70 ERA with 15 strikeouts in 16.2 innings.
