Analysis: Another big night for Avery, it’s important to note that he’s 2 for 4 on stolen base attempts. He’s fast, but still needs to learn how to use his speed in game situations.

Analysis: Cowan’s ERA is currently 2.12, he’s pitched well so far aside from the 9 walks in 17 innings.

Kolodny was the SAL player of the week, this past week.
Yeah, I saw that on milb.com. I would have noted it in the “News and Notes”, but there hasn’t been a lot going on lately. I try not to post News and Notes if there isn’t enough content to fill it.
as for news and notes – whats the possibility Jake gets a call into the Manager’s office in the next week or so?
Britt Ghiroli (O’s beat writer) said that they will likely call up Alberto Castillo and just skip Bergesen’s next stats because of the day off. If Bergesen continues to struggle the could call up Arrieta. But they could also go with Jason Berken or even Mark Hendrickson. I’d like to see Jake get a shot though.
