The Norfolk Tides have released their opening day roster:
Pitchers: Jake Arrieta, Alberto Castillo, Brandon Erbe, Chris George, Frank Mata, Kam Mickolio, Jim Miller, Troy Patton, Dennis Sarfate, Alfredo Simon, Chris Tillman and Ross Wolf.
Catchers: Adam Donachie and Steve Lerud.
Infielders: Michael Aubrey, Josh Bell, Rhyne Hughes, Scott Moore, Brandon Snyder and Justin Turner and Robert Andino.
Outfielders: Joey Gathright, Lou Montanez, Jeff Salazar and Jonathan Tucker.
No real surprises here. I was shocked that Erbe made the rotation, but we knew about that about two weeks ago.

Yeah, I think that’s what’s going to happen. I had a feeling they just didn’t add him because Britt Ghiroli reported he was sent to Norfolk.
